Cross Country Standout Anthony Rotich claimed his first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week honor announced the organization on Tuesday.

Anthony Rotich placed first in the Miners' first big test of the season at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday.

The UTEP cross country team will be traveling to South Bend, Ind. to compete against 1,210 runners (616 men, 594 women) in the 58th Notre Dame Adidas Classic on Friday.

Sophomore All-American Anthony Rotich claimed his third title of the 2013 season at the Kachina Classic after coming in with a time of 15:12 in the 5K at Centennial High School.

The UTEP cross country teams will be traveling to Las Cruces, N.M. to participate in the Kachina Classic on Saturday at Centennial High School.
