UTEP discus thrower Samantha Hall was named the Conference USA Female Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.

The UTEP men's track and field team cracked the top 25 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the first time in 2015. The Miners moved up seven spots from last week's ranking to the 21st position.

The UTEP track and field had 13 collegiate first-place finishers (seven women, six men) on Saturday as they hosted the UTEP Invitational.

The UTEP track and field team will welcome four other institutions (Rice, New Mexico State, South Plains College and Universidad Autonoma de Cuidad Juarez) to Kidd Field on Saturday for the UTEP Invitational.

Three-time national champion Anthony Rotich was named to the Bowerman Watch List for the 13th time in his illustrious career as announced by the U. S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.

The UTEP track and field team had three individuals take first place during day two of the Sun Angel Classic.
